5Cheap and WORKS!  Oct 07, 2010 By Rachel
I admit, I was thrown by the suspisciously low price, but I felt a little more reassured by looking at the reviews. And for that reason, I'm writing this one to add to the credibility of this item for others considering it. It's real, and it works. I use it to connect the microSD card in my phone to my computer. Works exactly as I want it to. Perfect. And oh so cheap. Not to mention the free and FAST (about 2-days) shipping.

If you need one of these adapters, buy it. :D

5Nice!  May 19, 2009 By S. Chang
These are legit Sandisk adapters! They are not some bootleg product. These ADAPTERS (no SD card included) work flawlessly and are cheap. Great for converting those micro SD's to work in cameras and other products that use the standard SD card!

3Making me work for it.  Sep 24, 2011 By M. Hollis
Now, let's get this out of the way:

Mine works, but I had to take a pocketknife to it.

I received the item in an uncushioned envelope, with the card adapter in a nice plastic case.

Upon removing it from the case, I attempted to insert my micro SD card.

It stopped halfway.

I pushed gently, but firmly, and it wasn't budging.

"Hmm."

Now, I imagine this is where the Deal-hunting grannies who would buy this item would give up and demand a refund. But it was 90 cents. So, I took it apart by putting a pocketknife into the slot and lifting gently, (and it came apart with such ease, only a simple friction socket holding it together, very cheap.) and saw my problem. The contacts were on the TOP of the card. So, I took a pocketknife, and gently pried them into an angle where, upon insertion of the card, would push them down a little bit, putting them in contact with the Micro SD's Contacts, and holding it in place. It then worked perfectly. 5 minutes of confusion, with 30 seconds of actual work produced a functional end product.

The adapter itself is a knockoff, at least in my opinion. Genuine Sandisk Micro SD to SD adapters SAY SO on the adapter itself. This one just says "adapter". But, to be fair, it's just small contacts that lead to big contacts, so it's not exactly rocket science.

So, A rundown.

Does it work? Yes, if you're willing to pry it apart and fix what the factory workers didn't.
Is it durable? Probably not after you have to pry it open.
Am I satisfied with the product? It does what I need it to do, but I have no faith in whomever produced it.
Would I buy from this seller again? No, not unless I was sure whatever I was buying could be restored to working order by myself. The paper that came with the product told me to email them before I gave them a bad review, but I think I'll pass on that.

Food for thought: In order for them to turn a profit, they have to sell this product for more than it's worth. This product is (at the writing of this review) 89 cents. If you think 89 cents is worth a minor bit of DIY repairs on a product that should be working in the first place, you found yourself a deal.

If you're looking for a well built and made to last adapter for your microSD cards, then look no further than this product. Not a ripoff. Not flimsy. A solid adapter.

Just insert your microSD card into the admittedly non-springy slot and insert it into your device or computer and BAM, you've got access to all your files.
