Poor clip-on case Jun 19, 2009

Firstly I purchased the white version, for use on a white iPhone 3G.

UPDATE:
After 4 months my white case has appreciably begun losing its soft touch material and has developed a crack. I'd lower my rating to 3 stars, the only upside her is the price. So if you plan to get several to swap out which would minimize wear then its still fine. Perhaps a different color would be better too.

Pros: Does not compromise the size of the iPhone too much, I had gone almost a full year without a case because one of the things I liked about the iPhone was its sleek appearance. Fits on nicely, protects the corners of the phone (where my dropped phones seem to land). Largely stays clean. Soft touch finish. Low cost is low risk.
Cons: With the cutout on I seem to need to use my fingernail to engange silent mode, whereas previously I could use my finger. I personally do not like the logo window especially since after awhile lint and dust seems to collect around the edges of the window.
Bottom Line: If you want a case that's not going to make your iPhone appreciably more cumbersome or garish while offering protection from low height drops or scuffing you cant go wrong here. Plus at a low price point you can afford for this to get beat up and buy a new case every few months.
I wanted a low profile case that didn't appear garish, or make the phone much larger, stumbled on this while casually looking around Amazon and with the cost it was too good to pass up. At first dirt seemed to stick to the white cover, but after handling it for awhile that does not seem to be an issue. Also personally I would prefer to not have the logo hole, but I can imagine those that would still like to sport the apple.

I ordered this in pink, and I loved the tight fit of the case and the bright color. But after my first attempt in taking the cover off (I have an iPod dock where I play my music from... but I needed to take the cover off in order to dock it) the corner of the case started peeling off, showing the white plastic underneath. Now that it has started in the corner, it's slowly all peeling off, and looks cheap.... I wouldn't recommend this if you plan on taking off the cover in order to dock your iPhone or for other reasons.

Received my Gunmetal colored SHIELD case for my white 32gb iPhone GS- glad I picked this brand. Does not change the over all size of the phone, slides in and out of my pocket (jeans) easily, but still has a velvet-like texture to the back for sure grip. A buddy of mine has the casecrown version, and after only a month, his phone rattles around in the case while mine is good and tight. I used a scrap piece of Zagg Invisible Sheild to cover the Apple logo on my phone, and never looked back.
I work at a national electronics retailer, and trust me... I've had my phone in every dock, charging cradle, stand, speaker system and accessory available for the iPhone, and all have worked correctly without removing it. Customers are constantly commenting on my case and asking where I purchased it...
I'll soon be ordering a silver and a black one, just to change it up a bit. I've found the perfect case.

I searched everywhere for the perfect case and this was it. It adds just enough grip so the phone doesn't slip out of your hand but is smooth enough to easily slide in and out of your pocket without sticking. It fits the phone like a glove and actually looks really cool. If you tend to be clumsy and drop your phone often, you might want one of the thicker, padded cases as this one is relatively thin and hard plastic.

I bought this iPhone case 2 months back, after awhile the paint from the back cover started to peel of. Looks good in the beginning but does not last long. If you want a case that last long I won't recommend you to buy this product.
