5AWESOME speed  May 28, 2007 By David Bock "javaguy"
I must have around 10 different compactflash cards of various sizes from various manufacturers. With the upgrade to a Nikon D200 (from a D100 and also a Coolpix 5700 and 8700 in my arsenal), I decided I needed some big, fast, flash.

I am *not* disappointed. In my D200, set to fast multishot, I was able to take over 100 (large fine jpeg) pictures before the card couldn't keep up and I filled the camera's buffer. That was over 12 seconds of continuous photos! I have a (much) older 4 gig Microdrive flash card that is pathetically slow compared to this.

I bought four cards, and I have stressed one in all 4 of my cameras, filling it, erasing it, and filling it again several times. While not a formal stress test, it has given me enough confidence - in the past I have had flash cards that would occasionally result in errors moving between cameras, problems formatting in the camera, etc. So far, the one card I hammered has been fine.

I was tempted to get the 8gb version of this card, but 2 4 gig cards are cheaper, and provide some level of assurance - if one card fails, I still have one to keep going. 1 8 gig card would be a single point of failure.

5This is the stuff dreams are made of  Jun 28, 2007 By J. Kurz "J. Q. Public"
If you need lots of storage for your images, this is the card to buy. 133X speed memory with super-fast write and read times. No waiting for that next shot. I have several CF cards, 1GB and 512MB. They are 40X-90X and not near as fast. I use them only when I know I don't need as fast of a write time between shots.

Great card.

5compactflash card  Mar 08, 2007 By The Photographer
This card works flawlessly in my Nikon D200. D70, and Coolpix 8800 cameras. No problems noted at this time. Card is very fast and can keep up with the fastest of my cameras.

5Comparable to Sandisk Ultra II  Aug 12, 2007 By David
Works as expected -- has been dependable and speedy. I use a Canon Rebel XTi. I have a SanDisk 2GB ULTRA II and this card runs at about the same speed in the XTi (no noticeable difference) but [was] a little cheaper per GB and that also goes for the 2GB variety of this card. When I look to buy another card (within 3-6 months), if the SanDisk 2 GB Extreme III, 4 GB Extreme III, or SanDisk 4 GB Extreme IV hasn't dropped closer to the corresponding Kingston card prices, I'll get another one of these. [It seems the prices are fluctuating between Sandisk and Kingston... right now I'd probably go for an Extreme III, which are fairly priced per GB.]

[Brackets denote updates.]

If I encounter any problems in the future, I will update this review.

I got one of these CF cards and liked it. Stable, durable and really a quality CF card. I am getting another one and this should speak on how please d I am with this card. Kingston is a reliable brand.
