4Good memory card, great support from Kingston  Dec 12, 2006 By B. Cain
I've had good luck with Kingston memory cards. My 1 GB card failed after 4 months, but Kingston has a lifetime warranty and the RMA process is painless. They even pay for Fed Ex shipping of the failed memory. I had my brand new card much faster than I expected and it works great.

5Fast Memory Card for the money (Elite Pro 1 GB)  Jan 11, 2007 By E. J Tastad "ejt"
The Kingston Elite Pro 1 GB SD is a fast memory card for the money. Running read/write tests using a Lexar Media USB 2.0 Multi Card Reader I wrote 75 image files totaling 236.4 MB. These were JPGs from a 6 MP digital camera.

Kingston Elite Pro

Write time: 1 min 48 sec (2.19 MB/s)

Read time: 0 min 36 sec (6.57 MB/s)

For comparison, a generic card purchased from wally world the day after Thanksgiving was half as fast.

Impact 1GB SD Card

Write time: 3 min 50 sec (1.02 MB/s)

Read time: 0 min 50 sec (4.728 MB/s)

For Comparison, my Sandisk Ultra II and Extreme III CF cards:

Write time: 1 min 5 sec (3.64 MB/s)

Read time: 0 min 54 sec (4.40 MB/s)

Great card for the money, fast read times and good write times, and most importantly this is a superb value.

5Great card for the price.  Aug 18, 2006 By D. Amini
Memory cards really only need to be fast enough to move a few photos or files at a time; this card will perform well in most new devices. The price is great and Kingston's customer service and quality products make this a worth while purchase. I own two 1GB Ultra III cards by Sandisk and I use my Kingston along with these fast cards interchangeably in my Canon SD400 and S3IS. The speed of this card is the same as the Ultra III; taking large photos and movies does not phase this card at all. The bottle neck, and hence the speed of the read and write cycles, is largely limited by the camera's buffer so I doubt that most cameras will experience a significant difference between this card versus the Ultra III. It is a good value for the price and I am happy with my purchase.

3it works under pressure ... but it is not a speed champ.  Apr 18, 2006 By AVALLE enrique Alvaro
I got a CANON S2 IS, which stores high res video with a high datarate (640x480, 30fps with 44.1Khz stereo audio) flawlessly inside this SD card. Reading is just as good.

It is safe to say it will perform just right with the Canon s3 is (which has the same save / read bandwidth requirements.

Kingston says that this card can read data up to 8.2Mb per second and write data up to 7.7Mb per second in their webpage.

5Well worth the money  Feb 09, 2007 By D. Fussell
Worked as advertised out of the package. That's all I ask.

Noticeable improvement over standard SD card in 7 MP camera. Recovery time between shots and in playback mode was much faster.

Price paid was less than other brand's standard 1 GB card.

Quality seems to be there as well. This is a no brainer.
