Kingston Travellite Card Reader with 2 GB SD Card Jul 11, 2006
By John M. Bryant, Inc.

I bought the Kingston Travellite Card Reader with a 2 GB SD Card as a compromise between an SD Card and a USB Flash Drive. I wanted a SD card for my camera and a place to store my data. I actually ended up buying two. One 2gb card is always in my camera and one is in my Travellite Card Reader. My data is backed up twice and I have about a gig per card for photos so there is more space than I can use (right now).
Pros - The device is suitable for use in a compatible digital camera with enough room for data. It works just like a USB Flash Drive.
Cons - The device is a little wide if your USB ports are horizontal and side by side as mine are. It is not quite as convenient as a USB Flash Drive because of the size. It comes without a lanyard. I had to order lanyards from Nexar (about $10 plus shipping for three). I am surprised that Amazon doesn't sell lanyards for these things.
Recommendation - Buy a USB Flash Drive unless you use an SD card in your camera.
UPDATE - I found the Nexar lanyards on Amazon for less that four bucks.

Nice reader Jun 14, 2007

The reader part works great as long as you make sure the card is seated properly. However my Kodak camera will not read the card at all. But still it works great for holding massive amounts of data.

Nice product. Mar 20, 2007
By R. Plazek I bought this unit because of the price and convience of loading MP3 files onto SD media without having to plug in my MP3 player. The reader is an excellent addition to the product. $29.00 is a great price for the 2GB card itself, so the reader is a great bonus. Easy to use. Worked seemlessly with Windows XP Home and Pro editions on my systems.
Recommended.

By Paul A. Hernandez Bought this for a co-worker and she loves it. She uses it to easily transfer pictures from her camera phone to her computer.
