Protects, but not perfect! Jun 21, 2011

I've been using this screen protector for a few days now and have found it to be as terrible a fingerprint magnet as the Xoom's screen! I can usually wipe away the obvious prints with a dry cloth, but it really just smudges them around (more a problem of my "cleaning" method than the protector, admittedly. It also shows plenty of glare, but this is not advertised as an anti-glare protector.
This protector fits well, with one hole cut out for the front camera. I ran into problems when trying to apply it, however. It is a good thing this comes in a three pack, because I ran through two just trying to apply the first time! Like most such dry protectors, they come with a film on each side that is peeled off as part of the application process. I have applied many such protectors before, albeit on a smaller scale, and the directions on this were the same as any other I have used. I cleaned the screen, then tried to apply the protector - as I smoothed out air bubbles, I noticed multiple particles that stuck underneath. I rinsed off the protector, then cleaned the screen again - being extra careful to not leave behind any lint or debris. Upon reapplication, the particles were worse. I ended up breaking out the second protector and just living with the few particles that showed up initially rather than keep trying and failing.
Despite heavy use, I have not seen this get scratched yet and my screen has not been damaged either, so a definite overall plus.
In summary:
Pros - fits well, does protect the screen
Cons - difficult application (for me)
Neutral - has glare and gathers fingerprints. This is not a con because the description doesn't say this will prevent either.
Overall, this does the job it advertises, but this is not a super-high tech version which reduces glare or anything special. If all you want is a protector with a couple of backups, this will do the job.

These are excellent screen protectors, and definitely worth the money. My daughter has been using one for a month now, and it is still perfect (although lots of smudges).

I got this installed on my first try. It is hard to line up the front camera and the film. I did not follow the directions at all but making sure the screen is spotless. The directions did not make sense to me seemed backwards. But it looks great and works. It does spot up very easy but hey what can you do.

I bought this item based on it's price and the reviews it received. How delighted was I when I found 3 of them in the box. It was super easy to install and you wouldn't even know it's there. Couldn't be anymore perfect.
