 Cover touches Kindle Touch screen... Feb 14, 2012

I have tried two of this Acase Kindle Touch Leather Case; I returned the first one because the cover touched and activated the Kindle Touch screen when closed over (not even snapped). I decided that, since it was rated so well and I liked the quality for the price, I would give it another try. The second one did the same thing and had a stitching defect in the leather, so I returned it, as well. I was very disappointed in this product.

this was really good value and fits the Kindle perfectly without making it too bulky. It seems very well made and enhances the look of Kindle very well. Very happy with this purchase.

This case is well made and holds the Kindle Touch nice and snug. The only negative I found was that the front cover presses the screen when closed fully. The reason for this is there is an arch shaped sleeve sewn on the inside of the cover. I cut out the sleeve using scissors, leaving an "L" shaped patch of leather stitched on and it no longer touches the screen. Also the magnet latch arm can be folded back and clicked into place out of the way if you fold back the front cover (There will be a 1/4" air space between the front and back covers when inverted like this, giving the impression of holding a thick book). To be honest, even if the front cover is held open (like a regular book) the latch arm isn't in the way like I feared it would be. Over all I think this cover is excellent for the price. I purchased this case for my Kindle Touch because the case my husband got to with my Kindle was really for a different model. This was perfectly priced and I have been very pleased with it. I just needed a simple cover with a magnetic clasp. The quality is just fine, not chintzy. I am not rough on things like this and don't expect to be, so I doubt I will have need to replace it any time soon. I also purchased one for my mother at the same time, and she is also very pleased with it for the price.

I bought this cover after returning the MoKo(TM) case sold here on Amazon. At first I was skeptical about the elastic holding the Kindle in place, but it is actually very secure. The case is minimal-- does not add too much bulk to the Kindle touch. The front cover can be folded back and secured with the magnetic clasp while reading. My only complaint is there were small bits of dried glue stuck to the inside "suede" cover-- I had to spend a minute picking these off so they don't scratch the Kindle's screen. Otherwise, this is a great buy for only $10.
