Smudges are gone and the glare is minimized! Dec 30, 2011
By Stacy Kim First, I have to say, I can't stand finger prints so, I was looking for a matte screen protector that would minimize them. This product does exactly that. It will leave slight finger prints, but there will be fewer and they are less noticeable. The anti-glare does work, although I will say, when the screen is tilted, the content is harder to read due (grainy) to the matte feature.
I have a protector on my phone that is just like this so I am used to viewing content in this way. This screen protector will make everything slightly grainy and less crisp than the bare screen. It's the trade off. But if finger prints bother you--like they do me--you will be ok with this. See the photos I added to show what I mean by "grainy". It's not too bad, but if you are expecting the same crispness you will be disappointed.
The installation was pretty simple. There is a small cutout at the top for the light sensor which I didn't notice until I had finished putting it on incorrectly. But, luckily, it comes with 3 in the pack. I can't imagine needing to use all 3, so I guess you have extras in case you mess up the first time.

Better Than Expected Jan 06, 2012
By Nic I ordered this product after reading through quite a few negative reviews. Many people mentioned how difficult it was to install but I for one, found the installation process quite simple. There are three screen protector films included but I managed success on my first attempt. However, there are a few important factors to keep in mind. The protective film is custom cut for the Kindle Fire so matching the border of the screen is a must. As for bubbles, I made sure to work in a bright, naturally lit room so that I could be sure the screen was completely free of any dust prior to placing the film. Unfortunately, I found the included microfiber cloth to be rather useless and ended up just using my own. Certainly not a deal-breaker. Most important, if you want perfect results, allow yourself about 10-15 minutes from start to finish. It is a tedious process but I found the end result to be well worth it. I am very happy with my purchase. With the film in place, the screen is still very sensitive and works well with my stylus (something I was initially concerned about). The glare has been significantly reduced without sacrificing clarity. It reminds me of the way the screens look on the more traditional e-ink readers. Bottom line: Great product if you're willing to spend 10-15 minutes on installation. Seems reasonable to me.

High quality product Dec 14, 2011
By Kyle Bickler I was looking for something that would reduce screen glare as well as protect the screen of my Fire. It's an easy product to apply, but take your time and get the screen VERY clean. My first application attempt was ruined by a piece of dust that applied itself to the sticky side of the film. On my second attempt, I paid closer attention. The protector is cut to fit nearly perfect. This is a blessing when applied properly, but it also means you need to get it lined up exactly right along the top edge when you first start the install. Apply it a little bit at a time so that you remove the majority of the air bubbles as you work your way down the screen and everything turns out great. You can't even tell my Kindle Fire screen has a screen protector. The anti-glare feature is excellent. The vibrancy of the color was not diminished, only the glare.

Reflection Reduced Jan 21, 2012
By Dick and Nona The Kindle Fire is great, but when you are outside, the screen reflects substantially, making it difficult to read. These anti glare screen protectors are easy to install and substantially reduce the glare. They do not impede the function and the screen is still almost as legible as without the product. Strongly recommend if the glare from reflections bothers you on your Kindle Fire.

Eh. It's ok. Jan 28, 2012
By SuzyQ This screen protector is ok, I guess, but definitely not for me. I found it difficult to install and used 2 of the 3 provided before I could live with the results. I wasn't pleased, mind you, but I could live with it. I had problems with getting the protector on the screen straight, as well as dust causing bubbles. I was very careful to clean the screen throughly and still ended up with dust and bubbles under the protector.
The bubbles I could've lived with. The fingerprints on the protector and the clarity of the text, I couldn't. For being a matte finish, I was amazed how annoying the fingerprints were. The screen never looked clean and it really bugged me.
With the protector installed, the text wasn't crisp and sharp; it was rather fuzzy. I left the protector on for a month, hoping I'd get used to it. Didn't happen. I finally took it off and threw it away. Perhaps its the matte finish in general that I don't like and not this particular one but I'm much happier with an invisible protector, like the one I have on my phone. I'll gladly deal with a little glare if the text is sharp and clear.
Caveat emptor!
