1Read before considering this item.  Dec 01, 2006 By F. Cavallaro
This product is not compatible with several cell phones. I have the LG 8300 that I just purchased and after I put the card in the phone it stopped working. I called Kingston tech support and I just can't believe how they handled this situation. They are fully aware of the problem and have been aware since September. The card they have the trouble with is the 1GB (probably one of the most common purchased). The best thing was they are totally aware of the situation and they said there is nothing they could do about it at this time. If I returned the card under warranty they would give me an exact replacement which he mentioned would be useless to me until they discover the fix to this problem. You would think they would accomodate you with something different because of the trouble but I guess that would be too nice. He recommended I buy the Kingston 512 mb because he said that one would work. No thanks, Kingston is off my list and will keep it's reputation for selling junk. I do have emails out to Amazon, Eek Technology? (the merchant) and I am expecting a call from a Kingston Manager in the next day. I will post a follow up once I hear back. I just wanted everyone to be aware of this before they purchased. If you are still considering Kingston at least visit the site or call first to make sure your device is compatible.

Update: I talked to Kingston and it looks like they figured out the problem. They are saying the "controller" they were using for the card was bad. They recently changed manufacturer/supplier for that part of the card and have not experienced any complaints so they feel the problem is resolved. I received my new card and it works great. The guy I spoke to was very helpful. If you call them with the tiny number on the back of the micro card they will tell you if it is one of the cards with problems. If your card works for you than there is no need to call. They will exchange the card with one that works if yours was fried like mine.

5Works fine with my RAZR  Jan 21, 2007 By foobah
This works fine with my RAZR and it was a good price. The only trick was learning how to get it out of the phone after having inserted it (put your thumb on it and push it forward -- don't try to pull it).

5Kingston as good as Sandisk  Oct 05, 2006 By T. A. Lindner
I found this card is as good as Sandisk. Fit and function are flawless. Why pay more?

2Good Product Bad Service!  Dec 21, 2006 By S. Stoyanov "S. Michael Stoyanov"
I purchased the 1GB Kingson Micro SD from BlueProton Consulting (troug Amazon). On their seller's profile BlueProton lists shipping rates of $4.00/shipment. My order was charged $11.90 eventhough it was only the microSD card to ship!?! I sen an email requiring more information and/or explanation - no replies what so ever. I didn't receive a cnofirmation e-mail, tracking info for the shipment - nothing. It seems that those guys are too busy making money and they don't care about their customers. Well they just lost me as one. I'll never buy from BlueProton Consulting anymore!

Other than that the card work fine so far with my Cingular 8525

1incompatible  Mar 14, 2007 By Michael J. Grady
This card is observed to not work in an LG model CU500 cellphone.

Before purchasing a Micro SD memory card, the wise buyer will go to the vendor's web page to confirm compatibility.
